of Portland, Oregon and our roadster and phaeton bodies combine

The bodies available from Brinkley Manufacturing were developed
a decade ago as the Zipper Roadster, and still win high praise for
their features and distinctive design.
Take for example the curved frameless windshield.
The windshield and hood design replace the stock cowl and windshield
frame to produce a smooth, elegant transition between the body and
the glass. Talk about an attention getter and the added bonus of
greater visibility from the cockpit.
Both bodies feature longer doors (10-inches longer) that swing open
at a 90-degree angle, to give you a greater level of ease when entering
and exiting the car. Also, each body features a 3-piece, rear-hinged
hood. Combined, it’s a sweet body structure that is long,
low, and custom. However, with all of these changes, both the roadster
and phaeton bodies are designed to fit on a stock 106-inch wheelbase
chassis.

It’s not just about
looks, so Brinkley Manufacturing builds every body unparalleled
in strength and rigidity. The entire body, including the doorjambs,
door sills, firewall, and bulkhead, is completely reinforced with
handcrafted steel to make it strong and durable.

products make the custom one-off body available to everyone at a
value-packed price.
Bodies are sold as a “system” containing: the main body,
decklid, hood & side panels, grille shell and windshield. (The
doors and decklid come latched, hinged, and installed.) Options
include: functional gas door, gas tank, fenders, tops (for both
the roadster and phaeton), interior package, and stretched hood
(to fit a 112-inch wheelbase frame). Additionally, the you may choose
a ’33-style grille and hood.
